Presents an improved method to determine the solar collector area of the solarassisted groundsource heat pump system based on the heat balance method. For a commercial building in Dalian, proposes the design scheme of a solarassisted groundsource heat pump system. Simulates the operating parameters of the system by TRNSYS, and the results show that, on the basis of ensuring the heating capacity of the building, the system guarantees the average temperature of the thermal storage soil which contains the ground heat exchanger periodic and consistent change, and the COP of the heat pump is improved significantly compared with that of the system without solar collectors in winter.
